About UsWestfield High School is a public school located in the Dulles technology corridor and adjacent to the National Reconnaissance Organization in Fairfax County, VA. WHS opened in 2000 and now has an enrollment of over 3200 students, making it one of the largest 4-year high schools in Virginia. WHS has been nationally ranked by Newsweek for its AP curriculum since opening and offers one of the nation's most culturally-diverse communities an award-winning arts program. Westfield has been recognized with the VMEA Blue Ribbon Award for the 2002 through 2010 school years. The 2010-2011 WHS orchestra program had 180 students from varied socio-economic backgrounds that perform locally in concerts and adjudications. The WHS Orchestras also traveled last spring to the Boston, Massachusetts, to attend a workshop with one of the conductors of the world renowned Boston Symphony Orchestra. The WHS Orchestra has also traveled to many exciting national locations for competitions, including New York, Orlando, Chicago, San Francisco, and Atlanta. The Westfield High School Orchestra Booster Club, Inc. is recognized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the support of the Westfield High School Orchestra programs.
