Welcome to Westfield!

Dear Orchestra Parents,

On behalf of the Westfield High School Orchestra Boosters Board I would like to welcome you to, what we hope, will be an enjoyable and fun-filled 2009-2010 school year. We have a full and busy year ahead with our concerts, Tag Day, the Craft Fair, District Orchestra, our spring trip to Florida, and ending with graduation. We hope that each and every one of you will help support the orchestras this year.

Our parent volunteers play a very important role for us, from chaperoning, transporting students, fundraising, and helping with concerts. There are plenty of other ways to help, so please let us know if you are available.

Registration is now available on the orchestra web site. The site is one of our ways of keeping you informed. Please fill out all registration forms. Payment and registration are DUE by Tuesday, September 8th. Please make sure you have everything turned in by then so that we can start processing uniforms and other items we need to order. No uniforms will be issued until all payments and forms are received. Most importantly please make sure you have your contact email address correctly listed. This is the primary way we have of communicating with all of you.

On Tuesday, September 1st, Westfield will be holding their annual Bulldog BBQ. We will have a table set up near the orchestra room. Please stop and say hi and meet your new board. Also on this day the PTSA will be donating $1.00 to the group of your choice for each member that joins. If you do join please remember to mention the Orchestra for the donation.

Last but not least remember just to sit back and enjoy the music. We look forward to working with you and your student this year. If you have any questions please email orchestraatwhs@aol.com.
